We fabricate these unfinished blanks out of our massive inventory of high grade lumber that is sorted and matched to be appealing to the discerning eye of the consumer. 

Compare Craft Art DIY vs. The Other Guy. Other companies often use small, low-grade scrap pieces from previous orders and butt-join them together in a mix/match manner, resulting in a countertop that looks more like a hardwood floor.  In the Craft Art Serious DIY line, we utilize only full-length boards and laminate them together with consistently tight joints to produce a structurally sound blank that will be a long-lasting countertop, butcherblock, table or work surface. Serious DIY wood is unfinished and may require filling of random small open/cracked knots.
